Bronze squad swimmers had an enjoyable and successful time at the Glenrothes Spring meet on Sunday 16th February.
Eleven swimmers (pictured) were able to take part and come away with some personal best times. Several left the building jangling with medals for finishing in the top eight in their age group. There were top ten finishes for Freya Dand and Toby Bullock for 100m Breaststroke, Rowan Bell, Max Turnbull and Toby for 100m Freestyle, Freya, Rowan and Toby for 100m Individual Medley, Freya, Rowan, Max and Toby for 100m Back, and, Toby, Max, Jack Sewell, William Mackinnon, Rowan and Freya for 100m Fly. Jessie Levine, Orla Maxwell, Ellie McArthur, Gracie-Lou Blair and Isla Macbeth also competed well for ‘Team Bronze squad’ on the day.
This was a level 2 meet and a very pleasing aspect was that the squad had no disqualifications, despite plenty flying around! The meet served as a great prologue for those who have EDAG swims on the 22/23 February, and for our own Midlothian Spring meet on the 29 February/1 March. Well done everybody.
